Catlan Nguyen is a broadcast producer who is passionate about climate reporting and wants to expand the beat at T.V. news stations.
She currently works as a writer and producer fill-in at KTVU FOX 2 San Francisco since November 2024.
She previously worked as a morning producer at WWL-TV Louisiana from April to November 2024, and as a producer-in-residence at KING 5 Seattle from June 2022 to April 2024.
She attended San Diego State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a bachelor’s degree in Sustainability.
She previously worked as social media assistant for KPBS and was the Editor-in-Chief for The Daily Aztec for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Prior to transferring to SDSU, she spent four semesters as a member of The Collegian newspaper staff at San Joaquin Delta College, and is a fierce advocate for community college and non-traditional college pathways.
